SMT Assembly

Surface Mount PCBs usually involve densely populated designs with fine pitch devices, se we have invested heavily in quality equipment to ensure nothing is left to chance with the service we provide.

  • Firstly, our DEK Screen Printer accurately applies solder paste to the PCBs in preparation for Assembly.  

  • Our Yamaha Pick and Place Machines then provide precision fine pitch placement of surface mount components, including Ball Grid Array (BGA) devices.

  • Once populated, the PCBs then proceed through a Heller Convection Reflow Oven.

  • Finally, upon completion the PCBs can be inspected via an Omron AOI machine to ensure all is as it should be. (X-Ray inspection for BGA devices is also available.)

  • This Automatic Inspection is only part of our checking process, as our stringent In-House Quality Control procedures include further manual inspections.

We also offer Double-sided surface mount capability to assist with complicated designs.

Thru Hole

Whilst we specialise in SMT assembly, we are equally as comfortable with Thru Hole Technology.

Once the components are placed on to the PCBs, the boards are runover the Wave Solder, or where more practical, hand soldered by our experienced staff.

As per all of our work, the PCBs are then visually inspected to ensure they meet our stringent In-House quality control procedures.


Full Turn Key

In addition to PCB Assembly services, we also offer full turn key assembly services.  This can include the addition of cables, looms, switches, mechanical brackets, etc, as well as mounting into enclosures. 

Once the assembly is complete, the process can be followed by full functional testing.
